First Post As An Adult

Apologies for my absence, it’s been Assessment Task season around these parts, but thankfully my last was completed this morning and we were rewarded with a half day holiday (okay, that’s a lie. We do have a half day holiday but it’s for the Gold Cup, not for my awesome assessment task completing). Things will slow a little now, so you can look forward to more regular posting for a while.

The main thing you’ve missed in the last week or so is that I turned eighteen, but really, that’s not that much of a big deal. I celebrated with three of my best friends at my aunty’s holiday house up in the mountains, and it was very lovely. I received mind-blowingly amazing gifts, from the thoughtfully brilliant candle from my friends that says “Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light” to remind me that there’s always something to smile about, to the Tiffany’s jewellery from my extended family, to an iPhone 4S from my parents and brother. I was beyond overwhelmed, and needless to say, the iPhone hasn’t left my hand since (you should follow me on instagram: frangipaniprincess).
I don’t particularly feel like an adult, but I suppose that will come with time. I’m going out with other friends for birthday celebrations tonight (HUNGER GAMES!) and I’m sure dinner before hand will involve a cocktail (or two), but I’m still the same old twelve-year-old at heart.

Stick around, there are books and movies to review, ramblings to be had, and general randomness from my behalf.
