In one weeks time, I’m going to be seventeen. However, I still love to watch the Disney Channel (I am going to be a Disney Princess, dammit), eat Fairy Bread and ride merry-go-rounds.
I’m a fangirl by trade (Harry Potter/Jonas Brothers/Team Starkid/Merlin/Buffy/Glee/Doctor Who/The OC/One Tree Hill/Misfits/Vlogbrothers/Charlieissocoollike/Nerimon/Really just take your pick) and can most likely be found telling people facts about my favourite celebrities/tv shows/movies/youtube shows, and then being told that no one else really cares.
Lately I’ve been starting a lot of my sentences with “When I meet Tom Felton next month…” and ending them with “…he’s going to dump Jade and we’re going to live happily ever after and have gorgeously British and Slytherin children.” I should mention at this point that I’m rather creepy.
I love magazines. They were probably my first love and my collection takes up most of the cupboard space in my bedroom. I blog partly out of boredom and partly because my dream is to become a teen magazine editor. I love completing work experience at Girlfriend and Dolly magazines and also regularly contribute to Girl With A Satchel.
I’m in year eleven at school at the moment with a time-table that’s almost exclusively Humanities. I also debate and do public speaking and I guess you could say I’m good at it. I’ve made state in almost every competition I’ve ever entered, although I occasionally get told to stop being so sarcastic and intense. The speech that got me to state in various competitions last year was based around comparing the number of twitter followers Justin Bieber had at the time to the number of starving kids there are in Africa. It somehow worked.
Last year I spent six months in France. I become fluent in Frenglish and made some pretty amazing friends from all over the world. It was incredibly hard, as anyone who read along with my adventures would know, but I don’t regret a second of it.
I work at KFC and it’s not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. I’m pretty good at getting people to upsize their meals and only occasionally do stupid things like forgetting to put the burger in the box. Or charge the customer.
Pretty much, I’m loud and opinionated and not everyone’s cup of tea. I listen to music about Harry Potter and Doctor Who and only watch Glee for the Blurt scenes. I read slash fanfiction and will yell at you if you dare to disagree with the fact that Draco and Harry belong together. I’m always reading five or six books at the same time and I think I’ve spent one Friday/Saturday night at a party in the last year. I’ll probably grow up to be an insane cat lady, but if I’m anywhere near as epic as Mrs Figg, I won’t regret a minute of it. Stick around, drop me a line, let’s be friends.
