Sometimes Magazines Pity Me and Put Me In Their Pages

Every now and again, people get an image of me in their head that involves me being stylish, fashionable and an all round hip teenager. The reality, of course, is that I’m someone who would happily stay in their pajamas all day, doing nothing but sitting on the computer and eating, but who am I to tell them differently? Before I left, the ever so lovely Bec Madden, editor of relatively new magazine Young, Hot and Famous (Total Fanzine) emailed me, asking me to be a part of their first ever fashion voxpop-esque page. I was hesitant at first, I mean, as anyone who has ever met me knows, I’m about the least fashion savvy person in the world. But the lure of having my blog advertised was just too much for me to resist in the end, so I took a hasty photo of myself, begged Erica to send me some style links so I at least looked like I had some idea as to what I was talking about, and hoped they wouldn’t laugh at my answers.
I came home from school yesterday and had another email from Bec, and it had an attachment. I gulped, before nervously clicking open and discovering what the final product looked like.

I love the fact my tagline is “I fall headfirst into obsessions and it becomes near impossible for me to talk about anything else”. I did obviously say that at sometime, but had forgotten, and it makes me giggle as it sums me up so perfectly.
I love how it turned out, and even though I look positvely fashion ignorant (ahem, which I am) next to the other two bloggers, I’m glad I decided to go through with it.
The issue is on sale now (Zefron is on the cover. If that’s not a good omen, I don’t know what is…) so you should all go and buy it 🙂
If you can’t make it to the newsagency but still want to support the amazing YHF team while having the chance to win some awesome prizes, here’s what you should do:

1. Log onto facebook. Actually, I’m 99.99% certain you’re already logged onto facebook, so just switch tabs for a second.
2. Head to the Young, Hot and Famous fanpage (if you’re too lazy to search, I suppose you can also just click here.)
3. Click ‘Like’
4. Follow the links for your chance to win big!

Totally simple, no?
