Playlist: KFC Edition

My workplace isn’t exactly the most glamourous in the world, so a lot of the time, I’m thankful that they have music playing throughout the restaurant. Well, I was thankful until after working for a while I realised MAX (the station they have it on) seems to repeat the same songs every shift I work. On any given day, you can expect to hear the following songs, sometimes numerous times, in my KFC:

– Working Class Man – Jimmy Barnes
– You’re So Vain – Carly Simon
– Karma Chameleon – Culture Club
– You’re The Voice – John Farnham
– Hey Soul Sister – Train
– Dancing Queen – ABBA

Seriously, it feels those seven six (I’m awesome at counting 😐 ) songs are all I ever hear. Sometimes though, on nights such as tonight, you’ll get cool customers who come in and start singing at the top of their lungs. Definitely a welcome, and entertaining, change to what is otherwise a mind-numbing soundtrack. The only thing that would be worse, I guess, is if I worked somewhere such as *shudder* Supre, and had to listen to techno all day.

  1. Oh my! I swear 'Hey Soul Sister' is all……my……KFC…….ever………plays…….. too! Haha, that and 'Mr Mysterious' by Vanessa Amorosi >:S I wish I had cool costumers like you though 😉 The best I've had are some little kids that came in sprinkling fairy dust everywhere, which I then had to clean up :/ Ah well, at least it pays the metaphorical bills =)

  2. Mm glad I don't work at Supre. It's over run with tweens who like Twilight AND Justin Bieber. Two mortal sins. I want to switch their ipods to good music and give them HP to read, to reeducate them before it's too late.
