Today is Tuesday, but it feels like Monday. We had a three day weekend this week, so now my entire week is going to be off for a day. Sure, I appreciate the day off, but couldn’t it have been a Friday-Saturday-Sunday one so I’m not out of wack?
Sydney was amazing. It’s my favourite city in Australia and it never ceases to get better. We flew in Saturday morning, stayed at Woolloomooloo (sheep-toilet-cow-toilet) and then went on a massive walk through the botanical gardens, down to Mrs. Maquaries chair, over to the Opera House, through Circular Quay, through the Rocks and back to the CBD where we went up centrepoint tower and then back via the QVB to my aunties house on the Woolloomooloo wharf.
On Sunday we went to Potts Point for breakfast and then walked to Circular Quay and caught the ferry to Taronga Zoo. It was amazing. I haven’t been to the zoo since I was about ten, and it has gotten so much better. It’s worth the admission price to see the view. Well, almost. We got to see the baby elephant and it is seriously the cutest thing ever. The big elephants were playing soccer with a giant ball and it stole it and sat on it. Cutecutecute 😀
After the zoo we went to Bondi Beach. Um, epic fail much. It’s nothing like they make it out to be (I haven’t been since I was like five). I could name a million beaches that pone it to the max. We stopped at Bondi Junction Westfield on the way home, but I didn’t buy anything. Saving money for possible JB tour in December 😀
Sunday night dinner was China Doll on the Wharf at Woolloomooloo. Best. Chinese. Ever. The duck pancakes and san choi bau were way past amazing. If you’re ever in the area, gogogogo!
Monday was a very windy flight home, but I love flying and the airport has krispy kremes, so it was all ok 🙂
How was your weekend?
