This guy is my hero…

His name is William Henzell and he is Australia’s top ‘table tennis’ player. But I call it ping pong, because you know, it sounds cooler. I know there’s probably differences between the two, but oh well. Anyway, he’s through to the Preliminary final at the Olympics. For playing ping pong. How much cooler can you get? And He sticks his tongue out when he concentrates (see picture). He’s awesome. I love random sports, and the people who play them. In a debate a few weeks ago I decided I was going to pole dance for Australia, and I’ve always had my heart set on being a professional stiletto runner. I was also telling my friends in art the other day how I wanted to play ping pong for Australia, and we were laughing about it when one of the boys in my class said that he could flog me. Obviously he didn’t realise I have no hand eye coordination whatsoever. But if I did, I would be an Olympic Gold Medalist ping pong player. I think I might do this guy for my ‘The person I admire most’ speech. He could have been a swimmer, or a runner, or a weight lifter or even a gymnast at the Olympics, but no, he decided to be a circle in a world of squares and play ping pong. And rock at it too! Go William! Haha, reading the word ping pong so much makes my post sound really weird. And it reminds me of a hilarious joke involving pink ping pong balls that I must tell you some time…

Love and awesome sports,
frangipani princess xoxo
